2002-04-28 - 2:15 a.m. I love how street lights reflect off of wet blacktop when it rains. You can't see it when it's coming down heavy, but when it lightens up, the road is saturated, and when the light reflects against it at night, the road shimmers. It's like someone threw sparkles of various colors on the ground. I wish I had a camera and a dolly in a vacant mini-mall parking lot. The neon lights of the store signs and the parking lot lights, the sounds of drizzle, hums of street and neon lights, and the sounds of water gushing down the storm drains. I would walk down the lot, cutting a path through the fuzzy beams, splashing through the puddles.
